Small stories told by local residents, visualisation of those stories, and visual arrangement of the collected material are tools to explore a sense of a place.
In Lithuania, while working with the local communities, we seek to pick up and map the local experiences, knowledge, urban and natural elements, which create a unique identity of the places. As a result, you get a palette of essential senses (including fragrances of the place), colour, local legends, favourite places, activities, ideas, etc.
This palette itself is a tool for further creative activities that will contribute to strengthening and promoting the identity of the place - or to the new trajectories of development.
