Laimikis cooperates with Venti di Cultura on game methodology
Games are the universal tool seeking to promote cultural heritage. In its practice Laimikis - urban games and research lab uses mostly city games encouraging the users to explore urban sites around European cities.
Sometimes we are using board games. Some of our games are already patented. Our colleagues from Venti di Cultura seek to communicate the heritage of the Arsenal site in Venice, and for this purpose decided to use a game format - both board game and urban game. For these reasons, we had an extra meeting, during which Venti di Cultura has presented their experience in co-developing the game for Venice, and Laimikis.lt has shared its experience in developing games as an actively used archive for the cultural site. These kinds of games can be played both individually and collectively, they can be used both for education and for entertainment. The most important thing is that people get connected to the cultural heritage sites in their cities.
