Karl Killian, Austrian Artist will be a Changemaker!

Karl Kilian, artist, musician, curator and teacher, studied Art, German Philology, Philosophy and Psychology at the Academy for Fine Arts Vienna, the Sorbonne Paris IV, the University of Vienna and the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He is working since around 20 years as an artist and musician in various contexts, often political and experimental, sometimes popular, sometimes funny, sometimes crazy but always trying to push the boundaries of art. So he attacked for example the Chinese Pavillon at the La Biennale di Venezia with chinese-made Toy Tanks to free Ai Wei-Wei (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANEj2dOvClQ), paints with a chainsaw (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRUNWqYCuAs) or produces since 2019 a series of short films for the Vienna-based Filmcasino called “UNBOXING Filmcasino”, a project that Karl Kilian invented: https://www.filmcasino.at/unboxing-filmcasino/
Together with his wife Theresa Kilian he is working since a few years on the Project LOVE (Projekt LIEBE). Other main Topics of his work & life are Freedom, Fairness, Responsibility but also Crazyness, Fun, Popculture, Horror, Fright and Fear. En bref: The WHOLE world, the WHOLE LIFE!
