Today our Viennese friends welcome the meteorologist and climate researcher Helga Kromp-Kolb. For her research work and her commitment to global climate change, she was named Scientist of the Year in 2005 and received the Golden Medal of Honor of the City of Vienna in 2006 and, later, the Great Silver Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria.
