The Underwater Ballroom, 24 September 2017, Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen’s bravest and most glamourous citizens are invited to put on their swimsuits and dance under the water in a unique synchronised swimming extravaganza – a part of the closing celebrations of City Link 2017 Festival. The event is dedicated to Copenhagen’s harbor, Syndhaven, and its clean urban water.
Danish string quartet Halvcirkel have composed a special piece for the occasion, inspired by the architecture of Sydhavnen and its harbour and transferring it into contemporary, danceable classical music. Synchronized swimming choreographer Stisa Søgaard will guide the participants through a specially created dance for both the amateur and experienced swimmers.
