Heritage and Waterfront Regeneration – Creative Europe funded project planning meeting and workshop for R//C network and partners in Gdansk
31 August and 1 September 2017, the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk organized by Fablevision in collaboration with UWS, BSCC and River//Cities.
We would like to invite you, as a part of extended River Cities network, to participate in a project development events in Gdansk, Poland on ?31st August -1 September? 2017 in support of a Creative Europe bid planned for three years of funding for a joint project,. At the core of the project are Knowledge Exchange and testing of innovative, culture-led and artistic interventions in truly pan-European dialogue seeking new futures and uses for (post) industrial waterfront heritage zone – for instance artists inhabiting derelict spaces, animating riverfronts and creating places that people want to live in, work and play. ?
Primarily the event is for partners and potential partners in the consortium for the planned Creative Europe bid for November 2017 around exploration into the role of artists looking at futures in post industrial waterfront heritage zones across European cities, addressing questions of their local heritage, the diverse eco-systems, social, economic and ethnic cultures at each locations How can we plan to incorporate/synthesise and create places and spaces for the future that are unique and distinctive, reflecting upon richness of each place, its diverse history and who/what is already there?
The meeting scheduled on ?31st August -1 September? 2017 is to share experiences and to develop the bid based on partners’ strengths, seeking ways forward for European cities facing similar issues. ?
